About Us
Nuts About Muts is an established family run business with over 30 years of dog handling and training experience.
Experienced, practical and always learning.
Neil Smith has trained dogs for over 30 years and has owned and handled a wide range of breeds, mainly German Shepherd and Rottweiler crosses. Some have been straightforward, and some have been much more challenging.
Over the years Neil has attended many seminars and worked alongside highly experienced trainers. Keeping up to date with new methods and theories gives us a strong base of knowledge that we adapt across our training classes and care services.
Neil currently owns five gun dogs and works them at various levels. Dog welfare is always the priority, physically and emotionally.
We are careful about who we accept.
For everyone’s safety and happiness, dogs must be able to get along with other dogs and be reliable around people. This helps every dog have the best possible experience while they are with us.
Our philosophy
Train and socialise early to prevent problems from developing. We believe early support, fair expectations and consistent guidance make a huge difference.
Please note: we cannot accept dangerous or unpredictable dogs.
